How to Draw One Point Perspective

Follow the tutorial on how to draw objects using one point perspective.  

Remember:  All Vertical Lines stay exactly vertical.

All Horizontal Lines are parallel to the horizon (eye line)

All Depth lines are parallel and drawn to One Vanishing Point on the Eye line.

Animation

Face Flips

Flips show the basics of animation. Using two pictures (either hand drawn or photographed) we can see the illusion of movement. Both pictures are similar, but have slight differences. Watch as Theatre 34 performs Face Flips.

This animation was created using the same idea. Instead of just 2 photos, I connected a whole series of shots. In all, there are 91 pictures. Right now it is pretty slow, but if you speed it up, the figure would look quite realistic.

We have begun some work on 2 Point Perspective drawings.

What's to Eat?

Assignment:

Using 2 Point Perspective, draw a picture of several food items.  (IE.  Cereal boxes, square containers, etc)

DUE:  Friday December 14.

Remember:

1. Draw the vertical (up and down) corner of the box first.
   
2. Draw the left and right horizontal lines (side to side) to the vanishing points.
   
3. Next, Draw the end of the box's vertical lines.
